We have finally started to have some summer weather and here I am thinking about our fall garden!
Here's what we're thinking for now...
- carrots
- snow peas
- parsnips
- broccoli
- lettuce (towards October)
- onions
- potatoes
I'm hoping to get the seeds planted this week. Come back next week to see how I did. In the meantime, check out An Oregon Cottage for her weekly Garden Party.

that all sounds great. About the only things I could grow in a fall garden here is cabbage and some greens. :)
ReplyDeleteI am still waiting to harvest my summer garden!! I think it is great that you are planning ahead for the fall. Looking forward to hearing all about it:)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a nice lineup of veggies to me! All work well in SoCal's mild winters :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great list. I'm like Heather....still waiting for my summer garden but had to start planning for the fall. Some things I've started were some Asian greens like Chinese cabbage and baby bok choy.
ReplyDeleteDo you like turnips? They are much faster to grow than parsnips and can be used in a lot of soups/stews and even a gratin. Just a thought. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks for linking to the TGP!
Radishes cabbage cauliflower and greens (kale mustard swiss chard collards) do very well in my garden. I also planted some broccoli raab, radicchio, arugula and celery this year so we'll see how those go!
