You can see some of the different kinds of finches we get here.
Sometimes two sit in one spot. And sometimes (often!) they push each other off the perch.
And sometimes we get just one.
Sometimes we get distracted by other birds.
The guys at this feeder think all of us are crazy. Which we may well be. ;-)
But always, we watch for that most elusive of events.... finchout!
Check back next week to see what The Mr built for our backyard enjoyment! In the meantime, check out An Oregon Cottage for her weekly Garden Party.

Love your finch retreat! I bet they make a nice bit of noise.
ReplyDeleteThat giant feeder is awesome! Where did you find it? We love watching our finchies, too.
ReplyDeleteCool feeder! We enjoy feeding the finchs and other birds, too. We have a feeder that is clear plastic that we attach to the living room window so the cat can bird watch, also, but not hunt! Better entertainment than what's on T.V. Thanks for visiting today.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing series of photos--I love it!

ReplyDeleteI love looking at finches on our bird feeder, too, but you've taken it to a whole new level: a finch sport! Cute post- thank for sharing at the TGP!
ReplyDeleteMy father-in-law would just love that feeder! Do you have a name for it - or a company?
ReplyDeleteI love your little finch feeder - my father in law would love that - he is always watching the birds!
ReplyDeleteGoldfinches are among my favorites to watch. I love watching them crowd around the feeder as much as you!
