Not a tremendous harvest this week. Well for me anyway. I think the squirrel probably has great harvest totals. I doubt he'll link up over at Daphne's though.
We had some nice peppers. I'm a big fan of hot peppers, and all of our peppers seem to be doing really well. The ghost peppers are close to blossoms now!
And the serranos are coming in pretty well.
The poblanos haven't had the best year. But they look pretty.
And I am not certain that we will get enough tomatoes this year to can any (UGH!), but they do make nice art!
We've had an incredibly hot (for here anyway) couple of weeks, with highs in the upper 90s and low 100s. It hasn't been great for our plants, but it looks to be cooling down. Hopefully soon. And then, hopefully, everyone in the garden will be happy again. Except the squirrel. I hope he isn't happy at all and decides to move along.
Total Harvest for the Week: 1 pound, 8.7 ounces
Total Harvest for the Year: 37pounds, 4.9 ounces
That's two pounds ahead of this time last year! We'll take what we can get!
Linked up with Daphne's Dandelions Harvest Monday... hop on over and see what else is being picked this week.

Ahhh tomato art - the best kind...although I do like chilli art too.
ReplyDeleteYour tomatoes do look lovely! What artistic pictures! It does seem to be a good year for peppers doesn't it? Glad you are getting lots.
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are just rats with bushy tails. And no, I don't think the squirrels will be posting their harvests, the rats didn't do that for me last year!
ReplyDeleteYour harvests certainly are pretty. I wish they were more prolific for you.
Just started getting into hot peppers this year and wish we has space to grow even more varieties. I have a jalapeno, habanero chocolate, cayenne and calabrian pepper plant but so far only the tiny calabrian is putting out harvest-ready fruit. Sorry to hear about the evil squirrel. We have an evil mole, and he is not leaving any time soon.
ReplyDeletebeautiful crop of tomatos!
ReplyDeleteYour tomatoes are gorgeous and I'm betting quite delicious, as well! Every harvest is a good harvest, regardless of its size :-) Happy harvesting!!!
ReplyDeleteDarn those non-blogging squirrels! Slackers!
