Another week of record high temps.
And every day when we come home from work, our ghost peppers look like this:
And the scorpions look like this:
They de-wilt by morning, but I have a feeling this is going to take a toll.
And it is taking a toll on some of our other plants. The mustard greens are terribly sad. And some of the little broccoli seedlings have fallen down on the job!
Some things don't seem to be affected. At least not adversely. Cayenne peppers are busting out all over:
And more jalapenos than we know what to do with (almost):
Some things are thriving. Our sweet peppers just keep growing and growing - it's like a jungle....
... filled with sweet peppers....
... which is a good jungle to have!
The strawberries are having a mixed reaction.
Even this volunteer sunflower (?) is loving the heat!
Looks like we're in for some cooler weather (mid 80s!) towards the end of the week. I wonder if the plants will like it? You will have to check back next week to see - in the meantime, check out An Oregon Cottage for her weekly Garden Party.

Wow, your peppers look gorgeous, Susan! Those bright red and ripe jalepenos are so pretty. I've been watering like crazy--even here in southwest Washington State we've had no rain to speak of for 2 months, and everything is quite dry. I had blackberries that just turned to raisins on the vine!
