Fired Up Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Do you want a memorable dessert but you don't have a lot of time?  Cookies made from cake mix are super quick to put together, and the addition of chocolate chips and a little extra kick will give you a dish that your guests will remember!




Fired Up Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies


Ingredients:

• 1 box chocolate cake mix
• 1 stick butter (1/2 cup)
• 2 eggs
• 2 jalapenos
• 1 bag dark chocolate chips

Directions:

Using a stand mixer, mix the butter and cake mix together.  Add the eggs and mix until blended.  Finely chop the jalapenos and mix those into the batter.  Add the chocolate chips and mix until blended.

This makes a dough that is thick enough to make a nice drop cookie, but not so thick that it can be rolled out.  Like this!  Can you see the little pieces of jalapeno?

Drop by spoonfuls onto a greased (or silpat-covered) cookie sheet and bake at 350 for 10 - 12 minutes.  You want these to be a bit soft so that you will have a nice fudgy, gooey center.

Cool on cookie sheets.  Then enjoy!

The jalapeno adds a kick, but not so much that it hits you in the face with spiciness.  And it also add a moistness.  The chocolate cookie is a great medium for the heat of the jalapeno.  This cookie might just be the hit of your next event!
