This was a fair week in the garden. Tomatoes... though we aren't getting many, they do keep coming.
Strawberries!
Lots of herbs this week. This basil is all that I photographed though.
Peppers! Aren't they pretty? We have tons still coming too.
Hot peppers? Oh yes. And so many more. Plus? Ghost peppers are on the way!
And the lettuce came back! Funny, just as I was planting the fall lettuce, the spring lettuce comes back.
I did manage to weigh most of it this week. Wow - we are over 50 pounds for the season! And we've still got quite a ways to go. Pretty exciting!
Total Harvest for the Week: 5 pounds, 11.9 ounces
Total Harvest for the Year: 54 pounds, 3.6 ounces
Linked up with Daphne's Dandelions Harvest Monday... hop on over and see what else is being picked this week.
What a great year for peppers this is! Yours are just beautiful!
ReplyDeleteThanks! We have had (and continue to have) great hot pepper harvests this year. And finally some nice sweet peppers too!
ReplyDeleteThe peppers are beautiful, wish I had your luck with them. Mine are a complete fizzle this year and last, while two years ago I had a good crop. I can't figure it out.
ReplyDeleteNothing about gardening makes sense to me! We've fought hard for these peppers - I am just hoping that they don't taste like Neem oil as we seem to have to spray them what feels like constantly to keep the bugs away.
DeleteGhost peppers! Can you really eat those? They are far to HOT for me. The sweet peppers look fabulous, I'm hoping that mine will ripen up before too long.
ReplyDeleteWell, we're working up to them! We tried some wings made with them that we saw on Guy Fieri's Diner's Driveins and Dives. They were painfully hot! I think we've got a ways to go before we are comfortable eating them. Good luck with your peppers!
DeleteI have strawberries envy. Those peppers have such gorgeous colors. Ghost pepper, that a new one for me.
ReplyDeleteThanks! We've been happy with our strawberries this year. Ghost peppers are the second hottest peppers in the world (after scorpions, which we are also attempting to grow...) about 100 times hotter than a habanero. We'll have to see if they are "lethal".
Deletewonderful peppers! Ours just starting to go into second wave but with cooler weather I'm not sure if they'll make it.
ReplyDeleteThanks! I hope that the weather stays warm enough for your second wave!
DeleteWhat pretty peppers, berries and tomatoes! Not much bothers peppers around here, except if they get sunscald, then the rollypollys will munch on them.
ReplyDeleteYour peppers look fabulous, I've never had much luck with them. Hopefully this year will be better. And the strawberries look delicious.
