Harvest Monday - June 11, 2012

This can be a frustrating time of year in our garden.  Just a taste of a few things, with the promise of lots more to come.

Fortunately this week we had lemons.  And boy did we have lemons!

All the lemons are from one dwarf Meyer lemon tree and the oranges from a dwarf blood orange tree.  Both are fantastic!  And the lemon tree is blossoming again right now, as well as growing baby lemons.  Ever-producing, that one.   I love it!

Total Harvest for the Week: 23 pounds, 4.8 ounces
Total Harvest for the Year: 25 pounds, 6 ounces

This week? Strawberries and hot peppers.

Linked up with Daphne's Dandelions Harvest Monday... hop on over and see what else is being picked this week.

  1. I love your lemons. I just bought my meyer lemon tree this year. It bloomed great but a lot of the little lemons fell off. I am hoping it will keep the ones it has now. It does seem to continuously bloom.

  2. Oh I so love the Meyers. My MIL had a tree taller than her house and would fill up the space in the birthday and christmas boxes with them. In winter I'd make hot cider for the kids with thin slices of lemons and cinnamon sticks. You could eat the Meyers rind and all. And I'd make some lemon meringue pies... oh boy do I miss those days!
