Comments and Confusion

We signed up for a local CSA last week. We'll be getting a box of locally grown, fresh produce every week for at least 12 weeks.

Our first box had some good stuff - strawberries, peaches, corn, broccoli, squash, eggs (!), red cabbage, carrots and tomatoes.

And this. Do you know what this is? I used it in some soup today and The Mr said it tasted good. But I'd like to know what it is. (Hopefully my dad is reading - he knows just about everything and I'm sure he would know what this is!)

And I noticed this guy on our hummingbird cam today...

Doesn't he know he isn't a hummingbird?!

  1. Is it Kale? That would be my guess. Well at least it taste good in your soup.

  2. I thought it might be kale, and The Mr did too. But all the pictures I saw of kale had curly leaves. Either way, you are right - at least it tastes good!
