We signed up for a local CSA last week. We'll be getting a box of locally grown, fresh produce every week for at least 12 weeks.
Our first box had some good stuff - strawberries, peaches, corn, broccoli, squash, eggs (!), red cabbage, carrots and tomatoes.
And this. Do you know what this is? I used it in some soup today and The Mr said it tasted good. But I'd like to know what it is. (Hopefully my dad is reading - he knows just about everything and I'm sure he would know what this is!)

And I noticed this guy on our hummingbird cam today...

Is it Kale? That would be my guess. Well at least it taste good in your soup.
ReplyDeleteI thought it might be kale, and The Mr did too. But all the pictures I saw of kale had curly leaves. Either way, you are right - at least it tastes good!
