Christmas Cookie Recipe Party: Melting Moments

The holidays are a busy time for everyone. Finding time to bake Christmas cookies can be difficult. These are quick to make, very tasty - and make great gifts! (They are also my mom's favorite Christmas cookies - Hi Mom!)

Melting Moments

1/2 c Butter
1/2 c Confectioner's sugar
3/4 c Flour
1/3 c Cornstarch
1/4 ts Almond extract
1/4 ts Vanilla
Confectioner's sugar

Preheat oven to 325F. Spray cookie sheet with cooking spray. In large bowl, cream butter. Gradually beat in confectioner's sugar until light and fluffy. Blend in flour and cornstarch until blended well. Mix in almond and vanilla extracts. Form dough into 1 inch balls. Place 1 inch apart on sheets. Bake at 325F for 15 minutes or until cookie is firm to the touch, they should not brown. Remove to wire racks to cool. While still warm, dust cookies with confectioner's sugar. Makes 3 dozen.
