Our Recipe for a Fabulous Brunch (and beyond)!

Not long ago my brother-in-law came down from central CA for a (surprise) visit.  We had them over for a nice Sunday brunch and used our favorite brunch formula.

  • Guests (!)
  • Make Your Own Omelet Bar
  • Seasonal Drink (summer = strawberry lemonade!)
  • Selection of breads (I chose homemade Italian and Cranberry & Blueberry Sweet Bread)
  • Sour Cream Hash Browns (my very favorite potato dish)

We put the fixings for the omelets out and give everyone a ziplock bag with their name on it - they fill up the baggie with their choice of fixings and give it to our chef (The Mr) who makes divine omelets for everyone.

Then we serve it all up and enjoy!

This time, after brunch, we had a great opportunity to relax with family on a hot afternoon...

... watch some Padres baseball at the MIL's house (The Mr does NOT enjoy baseball...)...

... and listen to The Boy and his friend butcher some Guitar Hero songs.

All in all, a pretty good day!

  3. Thanks for the lovely comments on my fishing post. There are many places called God's Country, but I am sure northern Minnesota is in the top ten. Whenever I think of those lakes, I get such a peaceful feeling. Following you now!
